Things I Love (and Loathe) Thursday

There's not much I'm loving this week I'm afraid - too knackered to care! But, I won't linger on the loathes either as no one wants to hear dull stories about another person's workload. So, here we go...

Picked up this little number last week during the House of Fraser sale. It's by Therapy and was reduced from £30 to £15 with a further 40% off = £10.50.
Only had it on once (as I've been wearing crap clothes to work recently), but it's soooo comfy and very flattering (even if I do say so myself!). I'll be snapping up another one in black too - when they go into sale - I never pay full price for underwear!

Finished reading The Hunger Games Trilogy. I cried, I had (genuine) nightmares, but ultimately I fell in love with the story. If you haven't picked it up, I highly recommend it - but not for your holidays! They've started filming and the first one is due for release in March next year. Super excited!

Next up on my reading list: Fargo Rock City by Chuck Klosterman. This is a belter and about as far away from Hunger Games as you can get. Chuck divulges his own personal experience of being a heavy metal fan growing up in a rural town in North Dakota. For anyone who's ever called themselves a 'fan' of any band, this is a must. For anyone who calls themselves a glam rock/hair metal fan, this is a BIBLE! On numerous occasions I've felt the urge to stand up on my bed and shout in unison with Chuck's commentary:

"Here again, heavy metal was an aqueduct for vicarious, harmless evil. Even as an adolescent, I understood that the kind of kid who thought Bruce Dickinson was telling him to worship Satan was the same kind of kid who would have been corrupted by the hum of a refrigerator."

There's much better quotes than this one, but I'm shit at remembering them and this was the only one I could find online. Just READ THE BOOK!

ROCK ON!

  2. That bra is lovely! I always buy all my underwear in the sale too. It's too bloody expensive otherwise.
I've heard so many good things about The Hunger Games that I think it's definitely next on my list of books to read.
How is your new hair colour holding up fade-wise by the way? I haven't been able to find any info about it online.

  5. 'Corrupted by the hum of a refrigerator' made me laugh A LOT, but it's so true!
