Everyone's feeling the pinch of the recession just now and unfortunately independent retailers are suffering too. One of Glasgow's favourite vintage shops, Tatty-Bon is under threat of closure - but not before they celebrate their 3rd Birthday tomorrow evening from 5pm. You can read a fantastic interview with Lynne, the owner, on Beewaits.
I'm super skint this month, but I've squirrelled away a wee tenner to spend in the shop - spend £10 or more and get 20% discount!! But what can you get for your pennies?? I'm after a vintage leather jacket. It might come in over my budgeted tenner, but a girl can always find extra pennies for that something special, can't she?
Follow Save Tatty Bon on facebook for updates of in store events or follow @Tattybon on twitter for updates and tweet #savetattybon. Remember sharing is great but buying something would be better. Tatty Bon is based on 61 Parnie Street or online via etsy or folksy or direct from the site here.
Customised jewellery featuring your favourite cult icons - Jared being one of particular favourites.
Customised vintage tshirts - I wonder if Lynne has any Motley Crue in stock??
Handmade treats!
It's a shame it's all the way in Glasgow otherwise I'd definitely be there :( xx
