Today is a very good friend's birthday and after another dreary day at work, I'm off for some Malaysian grub at a great wee cafe called 'Rumours' and then on to the Theatre Royal to see Scottish Ballet's interpretation of 'Alice'. I have never been to the ballet before, so I'm super excited!
Here are some illustrations from one of my favourite artists, Camille Rose Garcia. She illustrated Lewis Carroll's original story a couple of years ago.
I love this kind of art work!
ReplyDeleteLoving the illustrations! I like the amount of detail that has gone into them.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the ballet, it looks amazing!

These images are gorgeous. Actually can't wait for the ballet. Was dying to see Sleeping Beauty...but Alice is right up my street. I grew up obsessed with victorian children's literature and Alice along with Peter Pan was my favourite.I was/am such a tragic fan girl from Carrol and his word play. x
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous illustrations, I'll have to hunt this book down at the bookstore!
